Limitless is set to restart construction of its first residential tower at The Galleries, with 323 units for lease at the company’s flagship project in Dubai, the developer announced today.
The Galleries at Downtown Jebel Ali already comprises four completed, fully operational commercial buildings, occupied by scores of global and local companies. Now, under an agreement with sister company Nakheel, Limitless will restart work on the first apartment building.
Ibrahim Al Fardan, Managing Director of Limitless, said: “The Galleries is already an established, thriving business community, and we are seeing more and more demand for residential accommodation there, too. Its location, setting, transport links and increasing number of retail outlets make it the ideal base for people who need easy access to both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and for companies based at The Galleries or in surrounding areas who need accommodation for staff.”
The first residential tower – currently 70 per cent complete – contains 323 units, ranging from studios to four-bedroom penthouses, extensive underground parking, a rooftop pool and ground floor retail space. Two studios, 119 one-bedroom units, 197 two-bedroom units and five penthouses with three and four bedrooms will be available for lease.
Limitless is aiming to complete the 30-storey building in Q1 2015, and will restart work on a second Galleries residential tower and two further office towers in due course.
The Galleries is an hour by car from Abu Dhabi and directly accessed from Sheikh Zayed Road or via the Jebel Ali Metro Station, linked to the complex by a shaded walkway. Set in shaded, landscaped grounds spanning 20,000 square metres – the size of three international football pitches – The Galleries is also home to a growing number of retailers, including banks, cafes and restaurants and a convenience store, with more on the way.
Onsite retailers currently open or coming soon include HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, Sharjah Islamic Bank, Bank of Baroda, Arab Bank, Commercial Bank International, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, Blom Bank, Desco, Star Digital Print, 1762 Deli, Oregano Restaurant, Click Restaurant, Lounge Café, Fresh Plus convenience store and Diamond Lease car hire.
Almost three quarters of The Galleries’ available commercial space, spread across four A-grade office towers, is now occupied.
